The vintage wine “Portvein” is recommended as an aperitif as well as during and after the meal. It is an excellent partner for the fruits, desserts, nuts and noble ripened cheeses.
The wine is served with classic glasses, the temperature should be 16-18 degrees, decantation is not recommended, since a delicate aroma of this wine is unstable. Two hours before consumption, the bottle should be placed in a horizontal position without access of light. Pour smoothly, without interrupting the stream, leaving sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
Portvein is a Portuguese fortified wine, produced from the 11th century. The name “Portvein” comes from the Portuguese port city called “Porto. Also Port wine was awarded with a silver medal at the international wine competition at Crimea, Yalta 1970.
